Daffodil Day Virtual Bake Sale Fundraiser
Donation protected
We've all been touched by Cancer some way or another during our lives.
This year Daffodil Day was to be held on the 27th of March. This date carries huge significance for me as it was the date in 2019 when I received my life saving surgery to remove my cancer in Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital. To say I have been looking forward to this date for a year is an understatement. However the current global COVID-19 crisis has changed Daffodil Day’s original plan and for everyone’s safety will no longer be held as we normally know it. This is a huge loss to The Irish Cancer Society.
Just because Daffodil Day is cancelled physically doesn't mean we can't do it virtually. So on that note I’m asking you all to ‘pull together by staying apart’ and come together on social media to try and raise some money to replace what would've been made at our bake sale.
How to take part:
1. Bake something
2. Take a pic
3. Post it to your Instagram / Facebook story
4. Tag 5 friends to do the same
5. Donate to our gofundme page
Alternatively:
Won't be able to bake over the next week but still want to take part? Find a Daffodil on your daily social distanced walk in nature, take a pic and follow the same instructions. (Or find a google image if you prefer, we’ve got to make do in the current climate)
I would really appreciate any support at all, every euro makes a difference.
