Dear Family and Friends,

 

Loredana and I are creating this GoFundMe to support our sister-in-law/best friend, Christine Macaluso, as she battles Terminal Stage IV Triple Negative Breast Cancer with Metastasis to both lungs, bone and liver. And now kidney. After initially being diagnosed in November of 2018 with Triple Negative Stage 3C (the most aggressive form of breast cancer) we thought she had beat it with NED (no evidence of disease). After five surgeries which consisted of a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgeries, Chris always looked forward to living her life without cancer. She continued to travel and live her BEST LIFE EVER with family and friends!

 

On December 29th we received the most devastating news that the cancer returned. Unfortunately, there are ZERO immunotherapy drug options with this type of breast cancer. Chris will be doing chemo but there may be homeopathic avenues she can explore. However, the out-of-pocket costs can be in the tens of thousands. As of March 19, we found out the devastating news that the chemotherapy therapy is NOT working. After CT scans, her cancer is now found to have "MAJOR PROGRESSION".

So now we move on, hopeful, that another line of chemo may work to shrink this cancer that continues to take over her body.

 

As everyone knows, Christine has owned her salon for many years. She is stepping away from her business to take the best care of her health, but most of all, being with her family making lasting memories. Now, not being able to work at all, While her breathing and talking are extremely compromised, it is also fortunate that her husband, Anthony (who loves her MORE THAN ANYONE HAS LOVED ANYTHING IN THIS WORLD), has a fantastic job and allows him to take time off to be with her when needed, as this time will be more so as time goes on. 

 

Our purpose for this GoFundMe page is for Christine to finally spend as much time with her family and make ever-lasting memories with them. While she has some healthy and feeling good day, she wants to follow through with her future travel plans with her family and wants to continue making lasting memories of happiness and quality family times together. Chris is also looking to explore what, if any, homeopathic options there are for her. We want her to go about her life just like before her Triple Negative Breast Cancer diagnosis. As her cancer progresses rapidly, our options are few and far between but we continue to search.
