Macclesfield to Paris charity walk

Hi everyone, my name is Henry Moores and I am looking to raise enough money to provide meals, Christmas experiences, or some sort of gift for people in need across the Cheshire/Greater Manchester region this Christmas.

 I plan to do this by walking 500 Miles to Paris on the 21st October 2023.

About me 

I am 21 years old and I have lived in Macclesfield my entire life. I love spending time with my family, doing outdoor activities, watching my local football team (Macclesfield FC), and most importantly helping others when I get the chance.

I recently left my job at Sainsbury’s to go travelling with my friend Joel. We had a fantastic time and spent around 3 weeks away. Whilst on the trip, I felt a sense of unfulfillment and a desire to do something out of the ordinary.

This gave me the idea to try and spread happiness on Christmas Day to those who may be unable to celebrate with others, who cannot afford gifts, and cannot afford a Christmas meal.

My mission 

In order to raise money to help as many people across the country, I plan to walk from my hometown of Macclesfield to Paris (France) on the 16th of October (around 500 Miles all in all). I plan to document my whole trip over social media, including the process of distributing the donations from start to finish whether that be through experiences, food parcels, or gifts to those most in need. This will be transparent to everyone to ensure you know exactly where you money is going.

I also hope to amass a group of volunteers on my return to visit the elderly, lonely, and vulnerable around Christmas time.

 This has been a dream of mine for a while now and it wouldn’t be possible without your support.
