Maci Monroe and Abbi Leigh Fight Neuroblastoma

Donation protected
The Davis Family:
Tesa and Tylor are the parents of two beautiful girls Abbi and Maci. Maci was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in February 2022. Abbi was born August 23rd, 2022. Abbi began showing symptoms similar to Maci, and the news to follow was that Abbi had a tumor mirroring her sisters.
The physical, emotional, and financial impact this is having on this family is unimaginable. We believe in the power of prayer, so please pray. We also believe we can help or maybe we know someone who can help take some of these burdens off of Tesa and Tylor by donating their go fund me as an attempt to offset some of their growing medical bills.

“Lord, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.” Isaiah 33:2

Abbi Updates: November 9, 2022: Abbi was showing *Very Subtle* Left Eye Ptosis & Miosis (slight drop in her upper eyelid & pupil restriction). Abbi was taken to Riley ER & Admitted Saturday Night. Unfortunately, Abbi (2 Months Old) Also Has A Tumor That Mimics Her Sister’s, But A Mirrored Image. We Are Still Baffled That This Is On Her Right Side, But Presenting Symptoms On Her Left.
Abbi will have a CT at 9AM Thursday to get a better view for the surgeon.
Monday will be Abbi’s surgery.
Abbi’s Scans Revealed: Right Paraspinal Mass, Worrisome For Neuroblastoma.

September 3rd 2022: Yesterday, Abbi was discharged and sent home! She was taken off her oxygen at 10:00 am Thursday morning, Abbi didn’t have to go back on oxygen at all for 24 hours and ate all of her food Thursday and Friday morning.

Maci Updates:

November 9, 2022: Maci is doing well currently. Her Tumor Is MYC N Negative, meaning the tumor is thought to be less aggressive. No treatment at this time.
Her Next MIBG SCAN is November 22 /23 To Check On Any Regrowth after her last resection on 9/12.

September 1, 2022: Maci had her scan yesterday and as susupected, the tumor is back.. usually low risk NB doesn’t grow back(from the information provided), the cells could have matured into something different, but really a biopsy or full removal with pathology will determine that. The Oncologist mentioned chemotherapy to shrink the tumor if the surgeon does not feel he can safely remove it all. Her scan showed no tumor growth anywhere else in her body

May 20, 2022: Maci had an MRI. This was her first MRI Since February, and F/U With Her Surgeon That Removed ALL the Tumor.

March 2, 2022: Officially Cancer Free
The MIBG SPECT/CT Report, Was Completely Clear! Absolutely No Signs of Concern Anywhere!!

Maci’s eyelid drooping on her left side was the only indicator of something being wrong. A true blessing in disguise. She is otherwise a healthy and happy baby.

February 23rd, 2022: Maci’s tumor did come back malignant. Although the tumor is malignant, it is still unknown what stage they will put with this diagnosis.
Unfortunately, Maci got sick and was having a hard time breathing and her two-part testing got delayed. This test is suppose to show if and where there may be anymore cancer cells in her body.

February 14, 2022: Maci did well waking up from surgery. She did have a chest tube for a little over a day and no major drainage. Most of her pain was relieved once the tube was removed! Her Vitals were all back to normal by Friday morning and she was ready to “play”.

We took the bandages off her incisions last night &They all look wonderful. She is healing well!

Maci was diagnosed with Pediatric Horner’s Syndrome, and it is considered a rare diagnosis. Especially since it’s the first and only symptom that Maci experienced leading to the findings of the tumor. So, If her eye lid and pupil never changed, Maci would still have that tumor lurking in her chest.

With the diagnosis of Horner’s it’s likely that Maci’s eyelid and pupil will stay relatively the same due to the interruption of the sympathic nerve. We do not believe her vision has been affected, but will f/u with her optometrist.

February 9, 2022: The entire tumor was removed and sent to pathology. Maci did amazing during the procedure.

Monday evening Maci, was admitted to Riley. Maci, always has the brightest eyes, but Tesa and Tylor realized her left eyelid started falling a bit, it even looked a bit swollen. After hours in the ER, she was admitted and reality set in this was more then an infection. After many MRI/MRA’s and CT’s; a mass was found suspected to be Neuroblastoma. It is sitting on top of Maci’s left lung, pressing on her nerves and spinal cord. Maci, will have surgery today to remove the mass and it will be sent off for biopsy.
