Macie's Miracle Journey

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Caitlin. Myself and others are putting out the call for financial assistance for Macie and her family. I have personally witnessed the impact that they have made and continue to make on the community.

Anyone who has met Macie the black lab knows her unique personality and the way she connects right to your heart with just a look. Macie has been working with her mom, Nikki, for at least 6 years, holding space during sessions with her clients or at classes. Many of her clients will recognize the sound of Macie’s favorite blue pillow (which she still has 12 years later) plopping down the stairs before she would join a session.

We’re starting this Gofundme as a way of giving back and showing our appreciation for all of the support and lessons that Macie has been giving us throughout this journey.

Macie has been on a healing journey with cancer since her diagnosis in June of 2022. At that time, she was given an estimated 90 days to live. There were many obstacles in their path. The veterinary field was overwhelmed, so the soonest they could get an appointment to see an oncologist would’ve been beyond her estimated life expectancy. Radiation wasn’t an option because of the location of the tumor. It would have caused Macie to lose her eye. There were no facilities accepting new patients for chemo therapy in Massachusetts at that time. Surgery would have led to removing the upper part of her jaw, which was too invasive.

One of the major lessons that Macie has taught us all is not to accept limitations and what true warrior spirit is. So, in the meantime Nikki started integrating holistic healing methods such as sound healing, energy medicine, natural law, bioscalar, mantra, homeopathy, acupuncture, herbalism, & more with the guidance of Lisa Ishwari Murphy. When the vet tried to biopsy the tumor, it fell apart in her mouth. By the time of Macie’s first oncology visit, her tumor was gone, and she was chewing on bones, her pillow, and eating peanut butter. Macie was tumor free for 6 months with very little medical management, teaching us how to work with what is perceived to be impossible.

Macie developed a tooth infection which was unrelated to the cancer, but after the drop in her immune system another tumor appeared which we have now been working with.
Macie loves going on vacations to New Hampshire and swimming in the ocean. She still shows up for others in sessions. Her quality of life is excellent despite her medical scans showing the complete opposite, which demonstrates the efficacy of this integrative approach.

Macie, Nikki, and her healing team with the guidance of their mentor and teacher Lisa Ishwari Murphy are pioneering a whole new way to work with a “terminal” disease. Macie teaches us all that we don’t have to accept a diagnosis or label that’s put on us. Any funds donated will go directly towards the costs of her veterinary care, special diet, medications, or any other support she may need.
