The Macklin Family Adoption

Hello All!
We are the Macklin family! Our family is made up of myself (Mom), Jake (Dad), Luke (our amazing and loveable 7 year old) and Elizabeth (our wittle, teensie 4 month old). We are on the journey to expand our family from 4 to 5, through adoption.
Before Jake and I met, we both felt like God was calling us to one day adopt. After careful consideration, prayer and research, we feel that now is the time!
Now, here are some of the facts:
-We are adopting through a christian agency in Delaware. This means that the child we adopt will most likely come from Delaware, and will be available through the foster care system.
-We are adopting a girl! We feel that a girl fits the dynamics of our family, and we are looking forward to Elizabeth and Luke having an sister. I have a sister and can say it is one of the greatest joys of my life!
-We are adopting an older child. We are looking between the ages of 9-12. Some of the most saught after children are babies through the age of 5. We feel blessed to be able to give an older child the opportunity for a forever family.
Adoption is not something we take lightly. We understand that any child that has been in foster care has experienced trauma and will need extra love and patience. We are looking forward to taking the required trainings so we can be approved to add a new, beautiful daughter to our family!
Before we take the trainings we need to give the agency half of the total adoption fee. The sooner we raise the money, the sooner we can begin our trainings! After our trainings and home study are complete we will turn in the second and last payment.
Our hope is to include our friends and loved ones in this process, raise the money, and have a great support system in place for this child before she even enters into our care. All the money that we raise will go directly to the adoption fee's. Any amount that you feel lead to give will help us reach our goal. We are grateful to have so many wonderful friends and family to help support us on this mission.
