MacMillan - Defeat the Peak: Ben Nevis by Night

Holli Foster is organizing this fundraiser to benefit Macmillan Cancer Support.

Hi, my name is Holli and I am starting this fundraiser to raise money for MacMillian in support of my amazing mum who was diagnosed with HER2 positive Stage 4 breast cancer in December 2023.

MacMillan is a charity that provide services for people living with cancer at every stage of their cancer experience. They are there to provide emotional, practical, physical, and financial support.

I will be completing a Charity Challenge, Defeat the Peak: Ben Nevis by Night, on 6th – 7th July 2024 in aid of the amazing work of Macmillan Cancer Support – Registered Charity No: 261017

We will begin in the Scottish Highlands and will hike up Ben Nevis late into the night and aim to reach the peak of the highest summit in the UK for sunrise, before continuing to descend back down. This challenge is graded at ‘tough’ and I will be training and preparing during these next months prior to the day. And will be supported every step of the way by fully qualified Mountain Leaders.

Key information:

Trekking for approx 8 hours continuously.
Covering over 15km of undulating terrain, with the added challenge of walking through the night!
Ascending a total of approx 1300m in a single night.
Trekking as part of a team, supporting each and every team member to get through the challenge
