MACON TRACS Therapeutic Riding Fund
MACON TRACS (Therapeutic Riding for Adults and Children's Success) a 501 (c) (3) non profit corporation is dedicated to enriching the lives of participating individuals through Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT).
Macon TRACS is currently in need of a 100' round pen with 2 custom oversized gates. The round pen would be used to give lessons in. We expect this expense to be approximately $4000.00
Your contribution to this "gofundme" account can help a person with a special need and enhance their life by making it possible for them to participate in Macon TRACS's EAAT programs.

The Magic of the Horse
Horses are natural therapy tools. Their walking gait simulates the movement of a person’s pelvis when walking. A horseback rider’s core muscles are engaged when the horse moves. Over time this action will build core muscle, which improves balance, coordination, joint mobility and speech.
Riders with physical disabilities often show improvement in flexibility, balance, muscle strength and speech because horseback riding gently and rhythmically moves the rider’s body in a manner similar to a human gait, engaging core muscles.
For people with mental or emotional disabilities, the unique relationship formed with the horse can lead to increased confidence, patience, self-esteem and improved social skills. Learning can take place all while enjoying recreational riding.
Therapy experts have found that EAAT participants respond to the horse with enthusiasm that cannot be matched in the traditional clinical environment. Specially trained horses accept each student unconditionally, no questions asked.
