Madalyn's Legacy
Donation protected
Madalyn was an introverted extrovert
She struggled with a world that could be so unkind, and was a good person that always saw the best in people. Sadly, sometimes that was taken advantage of. She believed in universal oneness, the fundamental belief that she couldn’t hurt another human being, as to do so she would hurt herself. This caused a lot of pain in her life, as a lot of people don’t believe in this sentiment and therefore this left her vulnerable to abuse, resentment and manipulation. Despite this, Maddie still faced every day with optimism, and a smile on her face. She was determined to find the better place that she hoped the world could be.
On top of the unimaginable tragedy of Madalyn's passing, we have also faced having to read ignorant and spiteful comments and hatred towards our beautiful daughter, sister, niece, daughter, cousin and friend. We want to turn such a devastating loss into something positive ( we know Maddie would be so proud of our decision to do this ). We wish to challenge Government and social media companies to take more effective action in dealing with this issue, and raising awareness of this awful epidemic that is trolling, so no-one ever has to feel this horrendous pain stemming from hatred which has only compounded our devastation.
Please don't feel you have to leave a donation but if you do we will use any funds raised in bringing this important issue to the forefront of the Government and media companies attention by trying to lobby for a change in the law and improve response mechanisms of agencies in dealing with this issue in a more coherent and supportive way. We want to prevent anyone else facing needless suffering from cyber bullying
We are also drawing strength from your kind words and love to read your memories and positive messages.
Thank you
