Madapati Hanumanta rao girls high school-Hyd

Hi, I am Jyothi. I did my schooling from Madapati Hanumanta rao girls high school located in Narayanaguda, Hyderabad, Telangana India. This school was established by Madapati Hanumnata rao garu in 1928, he was the first mayor of Hyderabad. He was one of the pioneers in the revival of Telugu language under the Nizam's dominion. He encouraged girls' education and started this first school for girls. The school is 90+ years old and is Aided one, managed by Hyderabad Mahila Vidya Sangham (HMVS). The school has provided quality education at an affordable cost.


Due to COVID pandemic and lack of technology, the school is closed and is not offering remote sessions to students. The school primary section (class 1-5) is a private English medium school with 280 students 

Fee 700 per month

Staff : Teachers 10, 1 helping staff

The fee collected every month would be just enough to pay the teachers' salaries.

High School 

Class 6 - 10 is an Aided school with Rs.4000 yearly fee.

Staff :Unaided teachers  10 , helping staff  10

As the school was closed for most part of the academic year,  the unaided sections are worst affected and management is not in a position to pay salaries to  unaided teachers and helping staff.


The school management  paid half salary to the teachers till the month of December and now they are paying 1/4th of the salary. Some teachers are getting a salary of just Rs.1000 per month.


My ask is to please contribute any amount and help support the school so our future generations get education. Girls' education leads to family education and helps build strong India.


Spoorthi Vidyanidhi started in the year 1988-99 by alumni of Madapati students with the inspiration of Smt.Satyavathi Teacher. The main goal of Sphoorthi is to help school students who passed 10th and are unable to pursue higher education. Scholarships have been provided through Donation/Adoption. Spoorthi has also supported the management for paying salaries to the teachers and students in need.
