Maddie’s medical journey

At the end of Maddie’s Junior Year she was diagnosed with a brain cyst the size of a racquetball and was dealing with multiple migraines per week. Doctors have been hesitant to intervene since there is not a lot of research on brain cysts of that size. She graduated from Echo High School in 2022 and completed her first year at University of Idaho in Moscow but has continued to struggle with migraines. The cyst is now 10cm x 7cm x 4.4 cm and she is dealing with mini seizure activity, memory issues, spinal pain, and leg numbness/weakness. She has had multiple trips to the emergency room both at home and at school. She has had to take a Medical Hardship this term and drop her classes to focus on medical needs. The Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona has specialists that have accepted Maddie’s case and want us there Nov 13. This truly is such an answer to prayers! But… they do not accept our insurance and require a $5000 deposit. As well as travel expenses, an undetermined length of stay and possible brain surgery intervention. We are so thankful for the amazing support of our hometown who have continued to pray, ask for updates and send so much care our way.
