Madeleine & Jason Mullins II

Hi, I am Maddie and Jay's Aunt Joleigh. To all the friends and family of Maddie, Jay, and their dad -my brother- Jason, who was murdered on February 2nd, thank you so much for all the love and support everyone has provided. The reason I set up this GoFundMe page is that the kids, especially Maddie, (since she is the next of kin to her dad) are going to have school tuition, upcoming legal fees to settle the estate, and also some other expenses their dad would have taken care of, and I was hoping to relieve some of this financial burden on them just a little bit. It was very important to him that he and his children were baptized and Jason was dedicated to making sure those children had a good Catholic education and upbringing as he loved his church and his church family so much. Of everything in Jason's life, his kids were his world and he tried very hard to make sure they had what they needed. He was also very dedicated to his community and it saddens me that he just wasn't able to complete the projects he worked so hard for and was so passionate about like the homeless shelter he put so much time into refurbishing and the house for his family he was building on St. Francis street. He even created a cornerstone at the groundbreaking and had a priest come out and perform blessings on the home. He filled his children's lives with so much adventure and activity-they are awesome kids! He loved and appreciated all his friends and would do anything to help a stranger. There was never a dull moment being around Jason!
