Madeline G. Shook Memorial Stone

We are raising funds to honor Madeline Grace Shook with a memorial stone on Cherokee Boulevard in Knoxville, Tennessee on a route that she ran many miles on during her time in Knoxville as a student-athlete at West High School. Madeline was an exceptional runner who excelled at the state and national level as a ninth grader. Madeline then relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina with her parents where she was a stand out student-athlete at Cardinal Gibbons. While Madeline's running ability was evident, her caring and giving attitude was what she will be remembered for most. She was always quick to ask how you were doing and brought real joy to all those around her.

The cost of the memorial stone is $500.  Any additional funds raised will be donated to Girls On The Run here locally in Knoxville. In about a month, when the stone is complete and placed in the ground, I will invite her parents to Knoxville to spend the weekend and have a gathering of family and friends so that they can see the stone themselves.
