Madhavi's long road to recovery

Please help Madhavi prepare for her long road to recovery.
On Saturday, May 20th, Madhavi was riding her bike along with her brother and father in San Clemente when a teenage driver of a pick up truck ran into her HEAD ON.
Madhavi is now in critical condition with the following injuries and medical interventions:
* Broken teeth
* Severely fractured femur
* Damaged hip and hip socket
* Fractured wrist
* Memory loss
* Multiple blood transfusions
* A breathing tube
You may not know Madhavi, but I do. She and my daughter went to elementary school together and over the years, her family and mine got very close. So close, in fact, that while myself and my partner had to attend a week-long business meeting in Canada, it was Madhavi's family that enthusiastically volunteered to care for our 6 year old son for five days. During that time, it was Madhavi - and only Madhavi - who soothed my crying son during bedtime and slept with him every night so he wouldn't feel so alone.
Anyone who knows Madhavi can tell you how infectious her energy is, how fast and quick her wit is and how endlessly fun and caring she can be to everyone. She is the golden unicorn, a rarity among all things rare. She gives and helps anyone, without question, without hesitation.
Mr. Rogers once was quoted as saying, "When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, “Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping." Madhavi is one of these helpers.
Now is our chance to help Madhavi. She has a long, long road ahead of her.
