Madi Gentle and the Kiddos

Madi and her babies were in a very serious car accident on July 7, 2023. The good new is everyone is going to be ok. Xiomara is home and living her best life. Unfortunately, Madi and Joel were sent to OSF in Peoria for their injuries.

Joel had surgery on his abdoment late on July 7th where they found a repaired a tear in his bowel. He has 2 cracked ribs and a very small pneumothorax.

Madi has a severely broken ankle/right leg with a lacerated tendon. Her L1 and L2 are also both fractured.

After speaking with ortho, Madi will have to wait for the swelling in her leg/ankle to go down and then they will be going in for surgery to repair the damage. At this point, they are not planning on going into surgery for her back.

She will be in a "no weight bearing" situation for the next 8-12 weeks and will not be able to work as a result. Because of this, we are hoping to help Madi with her bills for the next few months so that we can help ease some of her anxiety about the entire situation.
