Madilyn Peterson

Hi, my name is Dallin Smith, a close family friend of the Petersons, and I've created this fundraiser in support of the Peterson family and their daughter Madi.

Madilyn Peterson, 15, was a beautiful, talented musician and artist. She was beloved by anyone who knew her. She was kind, loving, and the epitome of a sweet girl.

Madi, a student at Pinecrest Sloan Canyon was riding her electric scooter home from school on Monday (02/26) when she was tragically struck by a vehicle. Despite the efforts of fast acting bystanders, first responders, and doctors, Madi succumbed to her injuries and passed away at UMC on Tuesday (2/27).

All those who know the Petersons are absolutely heartbroken, and doing what we can to support the family. There has been an overwhelming number of people, including many who do not know the family, looking for a way to help assist the family at this time.

Initially, the Petersons did not want a fundraiser started. They are not the type of people who would ever ask for this for themselves. They agreed to let me start this after seeing how many people wanted to help, and with the condition that its very clear that they will only use donations for things related to Madi (such as medical and funeral expenses).
