Mati’s Top Surgery

Hello! Update!! The wheels are in motion, we have a vague timeline of surgery, and a better idea of the steps involved That being said, it’s going to be a fair bit more expensive than we initially anticipated- the cost of private health insurance, the surgery itself, and the rising cost of living for when Mati cannot work adds up. 

My name is Bonnie, and this is my incredible partner Mati! We are raising money to go towards their top surgery, helping give him the body he wants and deserves. In Australia, medicare does not cover gender-affirming surgery making it incredibly inaccessible. The cost of top surgery and the cost of Mati missing up to 6 weeks of work to recover will likely exceed $10000. Everyone deserves a body that feels like home, especially Mati. We shouldn't have to crowdfund for essential, life-affirming surgery, but unfortunately, we do. Please help us cover the cost of this surgery, any little bit helps, so Mati can start living their life exactly as themselves.
