Madison and Miles Cervantes

I'm Sarah Katzman, and I am starting a Go Fund Me in honor of my friend David "Gonzo" Cervantes for his incredible children, Madison and Miles. I met David when Blake and I first moved to LA in 1995. He was our next-door neighbor and then became my neighbor once again after Blake and David got married and moved into the fourplex on Orange Dr. It was a true Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. He was my family. If you knew him as David or as Gonzo, he was full of life and at the heart of his soul were his kids, Madison and Miles.

 

Thank you to all who have already been a tremendous help to the Cervantes during these past 10 months. It has meant the world to them and they have felt the love and continued support of their friends and family. Many are asking me what they can do to show support to the family, so I am starting a GO FUND ME just for the kids. The kids will use the funds to do something (practical or fun) to honor their father once they have surfaced from the fog. What we can do is provide something for his children. Please see the attached GO FUND ME for MADISON and MILES for those who feel inclined. Their uncle, Dan Hagemann, will be in charge for this trust. 

 

A celebration of life for David will be held at a later time. For now, we will honor his memory through his kids and hold on to knowing he was undoubtedly one of a kind. What I wouldn't give to hear him call me "Katz" one more time.
