Madison McGinnis' Brain Tumor Fundraiser
Donation protected
To everyone who has experienced cancer. To everyone who knows the uncertainty of battling rare cancer. To anyone with children, I am asking for your help.
A month ago, our Madison was rushed to the hospital due to extreme headaches that went untreated after repeated trips to her pediatrician. The pain was severe and a CAT scan was ordered. The CAT scan showed a mass on her brain and she was transported the same night to A.I. Dupont Children's hospital in Wilmington, DE. After further testing, the worst news was revealed to us. Madison was diagnosed with a rare diffuse midline glioma brain tumor. This is a very aggressive tumor, located low on the brain stem, with no current clinical trials available. This news has been devastating to Madison's family.
Miracles happen every day and if anyone deserves a miracle it is Madison!
Madison will be undergoing intense radiation therapy for 6 weeks straight. In addition to the expense of travelling back and forth to treatments, Amanda's income will be non-existent as she travels over 2 hours round trip each day for treatments and she also bears the added responsibility of keeping Madison's compromised immune system safe from the COVID-19 virus. As you all know, Madison's dad, Kevin, is also disabled from a work related accident many years ago, with very little income as well. Therefore they humbly request any monetary donations that you can give to help enable them to continue to support Madison's treatments, to pay bills and to provide for Madison's sisters; Skylar and Krystyna, and her brother, Jordan.
No donation is too small. Any amount you can share will be greatly appreciated.
