Capital City Trail Attack Survivor
Donation protected
Shortly after midnight on September 12, 2015, a woman walking along the Capital City Bike trail was brutally attacked, raped, and left for dead. The police are treating the matter as attempted murder due to the severity of her injuries. I do not know the survivor, but I use that bike trail often. I am shocked and sickened by what happened.
Donations to this fund go directly to the survivor in order to remove some financial pressure from needing time off work, for medical bills, and for other expenses related to this incident. Let's help her focus on her physical and emotional recovery.
If anyone has concerns about or is unable to donate online, the Marquette Neighborhood Association has agreed to accept personal checks toward this community effort. Please make the check out to "MNA" with "survivor fund" in the memo, and mail it to Marquette Neighborhood Association, PO Box 3223, Madison, WI, 53704.
