Mad's Spinal Surgery

Our angel baby Mad needs another spinal surgery.
Maddy has been wrestling some serious chronic back pain for a long while due to scoliosis. Last year she was dealt the news that a screw in her spine from her first fusion almost ten years ago had snapped, and a secondary spinal curve had begun to develop, aggravating the pain to such a degree that a second surgery was deemed necessary.
Their surgery is now booked in for the 17th of May.
Private health care is one heck of an expense, and though Mads is lucky enough to be able to access the private system, the cost of the surgeon, anaesthetist, hospital stay, rehab & recovery, as well as loss of income for up to three months, all adds up.
So, we're asking folks who are financially able to contribute to donate what they can. The money raised will go towards the immediate surgical & hospital costs, physiotherapy & ongoing rehabilitation post-operatively, as well as helping her afford simple things like pre-made meals during recovery.
We're aiming for $8000, which should cover most of the projected expenses. Anything raised over this amount will be put towards the cost of their private health insurance, and anything beyond that will be donated to an Indigenous disability organisation in Australia.
