Friends, family and generous donors:
On the early morning of May 4th, our team was unexpectedly notified of the passing of our young, beautiful, sensational "Maggie". Maggie was not only an irreplaceable member of our team; she was the loving Wife of Chad, devoted and adoring Mom to her daughter, Sophia (6) and stepdaughter Teagan (15), Daughter, Aunt, Friend to many, and incredible nurse to countless children. She was a lover of wine (season dependent), Dog Mom to Darby and devoted no-chip manicure enthusiast. Maggie and Chad have been together for more than a decade, and most recently married this past September 2023.
Maggie was 42, intelligent and an incredibly talented graduate of Rush University with her degree in nursing. She has dedicated her career and majority of her life, specifically 20 years, to Advocate Children's Hospital (Lutheran General Hospital) starting out on the pediatric floor, moving on to the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) for 8 years, and finally transferring to our team, Advocate Children's Hospital Pediatric and Neonatal Critical Care Transport Team 8 years ago. She has been involved in transport for 16 of those 20 years.
Maggie would give the shirt off her back and her last dollar to anyone in need. She was funny, witty, beautiful, healthy, selfless and the absolute Matriarch of The Rinella Family. The state of shock they are experiencing, and grieving this unimaginable loss has greatly affected their family dynamic.
With this loss brings a large financial burden to Chad and his daughters. As a team, we have a duty to always look after one another, and be each other's 'wingman'. As Maggie has spent her life helping others, we are now asking for help for Maggie. We are asking for donations of any affordability to be generously given to Chad, Sophia and Teagan in support of their family, service expenses, and stability of their future.
Thank you to all who are able to donate to The Rinella Family and for being Maggie's "wingman", helping her family through this tragic loss.
Please continue to share this Go Fund Me in memorandum and support of our beloved Maggie, in awareness of Nurses Week 2024, and most importantly to helping The Rinella's navigate through this difficult time of uncertainty and irreplaceable loss.
Fly high and Rest In Peace our beautiful "Mags". You are irreplaceable and we will love you forever.
With gratitude,
Advocate Children's Hospital Critical Care Transport Team, Maggie's forever "wingmen".
