Honoring the Memory of Maggie Simpson Adams
Donation protected
Loving Mom, devoted wife, and dedicated and dynamic teacher are only a few of the words that describe Maggie Simpson Adams, who was taken from us far too early. Maggie succumbed to a sudden burst aneurysm and passed away peacefully on Monday, April 1, 2024, surrounded by family and friends.
Maggie was a magnanimous individual who was a beloved teacher at Encinal Jr. & Sr. High School who had an enormous heart and touched the lives of all who entered her dynamic classroom. It was in her Digital Film Class where students were able to express themselves in various ways through the art of filmmaking.
Maggie’s love for gardening turned into her dream shop, Magpie & Thorn, located in downtown Alameda where customers were drawn to her extraordinary arrangements and eccentric gifts.
Maggie leaves behind a loving husband, Colin, two young children, son Dash (10) and daughter Dalilah (6), and a large menagerie of cherished pets, including four cats, three dogs, and a host of chickens she tended to with love and care.
Maggie’s unforeseen passing is painful for family and friends, as we have lost such an incredible friend, wife, and mother. Friends and neighbors of Maggie’s family have opened a GOFUNDME to support the family for the cost of the medical expenses, funeral services and support for the children’s future.
Please consider donating whatever you can to Maggie’s family as they attempt to deal with the devastating loss of their mother and wife.
Thank you in advance for your support!
