Maggie, Jhett, and Miles Apt Fire

Donation protected

Maggie and her two young sons, Jhett and Miles, suffered an apartment fire on the night of Sunday, May 31, 2020. Maggie found rolling black smoke, quickly grabbed her sons, and got out as quickly as possible. The fire department said If she has waited 10 minutes, they would have been trapped in their second story apartment.

Maggie and her boys had just recently moved back to Lake Charles to be closer to her parents and to start a new chapter in her life.

Although she has been unable to survey the damage in her apartment, it is clear that she will need to replace everything. Right now, her and the boys have what they escaped the fire with.

This campaign is to help Maggie with immediate needs and supplies for the days ahead. She luckily had renters insurance, but the process for claiming through that may take quite a while.
