Maggie Valley Landslide

On the afternoon of Thursday, February 6th, there was a major landslide in Maggie Valley that took out two roads, Trails End Lane and Buckeye Haven Road and ruined many properties.  

Sadly, this landslide devastated and destroyed Gail Heinz's cabin.  Gail is widowed, lives alone and is a full time resident.  The landslide fell and broke through the back of her home, into her living room and kitchen, injured the roof structure and dismantled and ripped her entire front porch off the house.  While we all are suffering as this area is run by us, private residents, not by the county, the loss Gail suffered is

much more severe.  Her home is no longer deemed livable.

Gail is a private, hard working woman and is now without a home.  Please help me to raise funds for her to get back on her feet.  Any amount no matter how small will help her.  

Our mountain family sticks together, helps one another and in times of crisis like these, we step up ten fold.
