"Vegemite Fund" to Australia!

Hello Everyone, my name is Maggie! I am currently a student at Florida State College at Jacksonville, where I am pursuing my Nursing degree.

After graduation in May 2015, I have the opportunity to attend a Nursing Program that will split my time between Sydney and Brisbane, Australia. I will be there for a month, and during that time I will learn and participate in many pursuits, such as how to give medical care in non-traditional settings, overcoming cultural barriers to deliver care, as well as attending lectures and research on tropical medicine. The experience would be very valuable to my career as a nurse, providing me with unique and useful skills, with the added benefit of living in a country that I have always dreamed of visiting.

This is where I need your help. Between saving my own money, receiving scholarships, and accepting help from family, I am just a little short of my goal. My friends and I jokingly call it the "Vegemite Fund", as a nod to Australian culture and my future experiences there. The money will go towards airfare, my living expenses, and tourist type activities during my free time. I'm not using this money solely towards the purchase of Vegemite. Well, I may buy one jar. :)
