Maggie's Ride to Recovery

Donation protected
Since the beginning of high school, Maggie has been involved in every sport, training and working hard to become successful. She has made friends easily with her bubbly personality and bright spirit. Recently, she had gone to a team bonfire to kick off the basketball season, but never made it home.

On October 29th, her parents received a call that nobody wants to hear: Their daughter had been in a horrific car accident. She had hit a deer, which caused her to swerve and roll her vehicle five times. She was ejected from the car, and suffered trauma to her pelvis and internal organs causing massive hemorrhaging. Maggie was air lifted and hospitalized where she underwent 5 surgeries to repair the damage to her broken pelvis and internal organs.

Maggie’s broken pelvis requires her to be wheelchair bound, with two 10-inch metal fixator rods protruding out from her body. After 3 weeks in the hospital, Maggie was allowed to return home for the next phase of her recovery. The vehicle involved was totaled. The loss of a vehicle is making it extremely difficult for the family to get to and from work, and to get Maggie to and from treatment and therapy. The money donated will go to a purchase of a new car and supporting Maggie’s family of her parents David and Agnes Fultz and her three sisters during this difficult time.

During this holiday season, let’s remember what is most important and be thankful for the family and lives that we have. Thank you for all of the support and love that everyone has put towards this family.
