Magic for Lauren McNeil

As Lauren McNeil's community of family and friends our hearts are broken and shock can't even begin to explain how we feel about the death of our favorite sister, daughter, girlfriend, friend, Pathfinder, book worm... Lauren. We can't understand why this would happen to such a kind, funny, and gentle soul but, we seek comfort that her final week was spent with family, on vacation, exploring the UK. Lauren passed on Friday, 11/29 in the early morning while in Scotland.
Lauren was a significantly special person, making each and every person she met feel instantaneously like her best friend. She was generous and kind, clever and smart, brave and thoughtful, and somehow both extremely type-A yet incredibly down to earth. She adored her parents and sisters, keeping them all close together and holding them accountable to each other. She was madly in love with her boyfriend, Jimmy, with whom the feeling was mutual. Together they carved a space in this world full of love and adventure, taking the time to nurture and grow their affection. She was a fierce friend who would be your biggest cheerleader, but also knock you down a peg when you needed it.
Lauren was a person that lead by example. She donated her time, money, and ear to those that she loved and the things that she cared about. She built herself the life that she wanted all while putting herself first and her loved ones very close behind. She was steadfast in her passions and had the unique ability to bring others up along with her as she learned how to navigate the world.
And now, she has left us, releasing her full potential as the extraordinary human that she was. In her wake, her family and friends are eager to honor her in each and every way we know how.
The funds for this GoFundMe are to cover medical expenses, memorial costs, and monetary support for her family. We have chosen to not set a limit for donations, for the money left over will go towards scholarship funds in her name at her Alma Maters, The University of Pittsburgh and Hatboro-Horsham Senior High School, home of the Hatters.
Please continue to honor Lauren by reading books from the library, making donations to charities in your friend's names, eating a goddamn vegetable but also a box cake or cosmic brownie, registering to vote, seeing Little Women and making heart eyes at Timothee Chalamet, watching TikToks, sending internet memes, loving your people deeply, fighting against Climate Change, screaming some My Chemical Romance, and sharing memories of Lauren that you have.
