Hi! My name is Magnolia Porter. I’m a comics artist and game writer- I mainly do my webcomic Monster Pulse, wrote the visual novel Rose of Winter, did a small amount of work on Undertale, and so on.
Yesterday, my laptop- the only computer I have, on which I do all my work, was pretty much destroyed in a frustrating accident. Because it was my accident, I can’t get the damage covered by AppleCare. I really can’t afford to have it replaced, nor can I afford to NOT have it replaced. I recently had some necessary medical bills to pay for, as well as the expenses that come from moving into a new apartment, so my funds are low. I literally don’t know what to do if I don’t have my laptop- can’t work, can’t draw, can’t do the things that I need to do to keep my life functioning. That’s why I need to ask for help...
The breakdown goes something like: 900 dollars for data recovery and repair. Most of my data was backed up except for some key files that were recently saved and not backed up. I’m really hoping to get them back. 2200 at least (possibly more) to either repair the laptop or purchase a new one. And a little extra to cover GoFundMe’s transaction fees.
If you can find it in your heart to help, it would mean the world to me. I don’t have a lot of options for this right now and I didn’t know where else to turn. Thank you for helping and spreading the word. ❤️
