Magnus Robotics Headed to VEX World Championship

Magnus Robotics, a highly motivated, competitive, homeschooling robotics club, is doing just that; developing the capabilities of home
school elementary, middle and high school students in STEM and robotics.
Our elementary and middle school teams participate in 2021/2022 Pitching In VEX IQ Challenge. After several regional competitions, they successfully qualified to participate in the Eastern Pennsylvania State VEX IQ Championships (middle school and elementary divisions). Our elementary team also qualified to compete at the 2022 CREATE U.S. Open Robotics Championship - VEX IQ, located in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Both groups participated at the Eastern Pennsylvania State VEX IQ Championships in early March; our elementary team won the top awards of the tournament, which included the Teamwork Champion Award, Robot Skills Award, and the Excellence Award. Winning 2
of these awards (the Teamwork Champion and Excellence Award) double qualified them to compete at the upcoming prestigious VEX
Robotics World Championships, which will be in Dallas this May. The VEX Robotics World Championship will take place at the Kay Bailey
Hutchinson Convention Center, the event brings thousands of top-performing teams and students from around the United States and the
world to compete.
Magnus Robotics has been building their teams for the last 5 years. This year, they have 3 teams which consist of 11 kids in grades 4-9. They meet online for programming and in-person in Dillsburg for 4 - 6 hours a week, using hands-on, student-centered learning to work on open-ended robotics and research project challenges, as directed by the VEX IQ Challenge.
We've been working on raising money for our team to go and need to raise an additional $5000 to cover transportation, lodging, food, etc. Anything not used for this trip will go towards the next season's equipment.
