Mahad needs a Cochlear Implant Kit!
Donation protected
Mahad, a three-year-old in Karachi, has a beautiful smile and is exceptionally intelligent but cannot hear or communicate with others. The doctors in the Agha Khan University Hospital in Karachi have identified his disability and have recommended a Cochlear implant to help restore his ability to listen and speak.
IMRA, the International Medical Relief Agency from the UK, has accepted the case for Mahad and is willing to contribute 50% of the cost of the implant and the procedure. Mahad's family is required to pay the rest.
The implant device will cost 12-14 thousand US dollars in Pakistan, so the family is to pay between 6-7 thousand US dollars.
I know the young parents, the mom, a school teacher and the father, a travel agent with two older kids, cannot afford their share of the cost. I met the family myself earlier this year during my visit to Pakistan.
Therefore, I have taken this upon myself to help this young family and this beautiful boy, and I am counting on God's help and your support for this task.
I have set the target of Six thousand US dollars for this fundraiser, to be raised by the end of Oct 2022. I can provide all the documentation from the hospitals and IMRA and their cost estimates. I will also take personal responsibility that this money will only be spent on this cause. I will continue to update you all with the progress before and after the procedure; God-willing.
