Mahala's Emergency Medical & Family

On October 22nd, I was rushed to the hospital in complete agony and after testing in the Emergency Room, they found that I had a very rare happening called an intussuseption, which is where your intestines telescope inside of each other. If not treated immediately, it can be fatal so I was put into emergency surgery as soon as they could get an operating room available in the middle of the night. I woke up in ICU where I spent the next week in continued agony. I was still suffering from extreme daily pain.

On October 30th, I spent the whole day in a 10/10 pain and knew I was dying that day. I told my nurses and doctors that there was something going on and that I was dying, I knew it with all of my heart! I began begging and pleading with God to help me and one of my nurses came in and prayed with me. A few moments later, I finally got one of my doctors to send me for a CT scan. They found an ilyea vulvulous, which means my intestines had basically tied themselves in knots around my colon and it was indeed going to be fatal if not treated immediately. Again, I was put into emergency surgery to save my life. Once again, I woke up in ICU and the surgery on my body was extensive.

I spent 19 days in the hospital and unable to eat or drink anything for many of those days. I finally got to go home on November 9th. Again, I had continued pain constantly and ended up back in the ER a couple of weeks later. I was admitted with a bowel obstruction and pancreatitis and needed immediate surgery again. I spent another many days in the hospital and have been home since December 2nd with many trips to the hospital, continued procedures, and specialists appointments. As of right now, my team of doctors are starting the process of sending me to Seattle to see specialists there and have procedures done there that cannot be done here.

In all honesty, and all pride aside, our little family is drowning due to me falling ill and we need prayers and help so much! We are looking at eviction in the next couple of weeks along with being two months behind on all of our bills. Since Jerod was unable to work for over two months due to my medical condition, we are going to lose everything if some sort of miracle doesn't happen soon. We are trying to sell all that we can to stay afloat but, its not looking good. At this point, in the next week, we will be researching food banks to go to. We have exhausted all avenues and we don't know what to do. As I stated above, my team of doctors are starting to make plans to send me to Seattle but I cannot leave my five kids here waiting for an eviction notice. Our little family needs all the prayers we can get right now and any help that you can offer! Thank you so much for your time and help in all of this! We appreciate it more than you'll ever know!

We promise to pay as much back, give as much back as we can, and pay it forward wherever we can when we get back to being able to! It is so hard for us to ask for help because we are usually the ones helping everyone that we can. This has been the most unexpected and toughest time in our lives! Please help if you can, and if you're not comfortable with helping through this account, we have a Wells Fargo account that we can give you to make deposits or transfers that way.

Many Blessings,
The Redwine Family
