Mahler 2 - Mahler Student Festival Orchestra
Donation protected
Founded in 2022, the Mahler Student Festival Orchestra aims to offer orchestral experience to young musicians studying in Europe and beyond. We strongly believe that orchestra playing is vital for the education of a musician.
Because this is a brand new orchestra, we wanted to celebrate this with a very big first production:
Gustav Mahler-Symphony 2 "Resurrection".
The orchestra is solely based on voluntary work, where nobody is paid. We're here to make music together, to work hard and to deliver unforgettable concerts.
Because of the strong dedication of our musicians and help of many people the costs for this project will remain relatively low. However some costs will still need to be covered (such as renting percussion, affording performance venues, catering on the concerts). Therefore we need your help. The smallest donation makes a difference, and we really hope to reach our goals, and to deliver off 2 incredible performances of Mahler's gigantic symphony.
Future productions of the MSFO are currently being planned. These will include Strauss' Alpine Symphony and other large symphonical works.
This means that should more than the financial goal be reached, the money shall be preserved for our future productions.
