In 2017, my family’s world turned upside down after discovering that my grandma was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer. After 7 weeks of intense daily chemotherapy and radiation therapy, she was cancer free but was only able to feed through a G-Tube, which significantly diminished her quality of life. With only two daughters, my aunt and my mom, responsibilities were heavy on both of them as they cared for her at home, drove her to doctor’s appointments, and more. After five healthy years, the cancer returned this past year in 2023. On Tuesday, January 9th, 2024, my grandma eventually lost her battle to cancer. With my mom and my aunt being her only children, they are upholding the funeral duties and responsibilities that a son would typically take on in addition to their duties of being a daughter. My grandma, who was recognized by many to have a heart of gold, was the heart of our family and we want to be able to give her a beautiful service. I've created this GoFundMe to help finance funeral expenses. Any donations, small or big, far or near, is greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements will follow as we get situated.
