Maia Outrigger Canoe Club

On Saturday 2 April, in Sydney a massive swell and abnormally high tide destroyed almost our whole fleet of 6 canoes. We have lost 2 racing canoes - now broken into pieces, and 4 training canoes smashed, holed or irreparable, a fleet built up over 10 years.

Maia is a small club. We have lots of juniors who, with seniors will be racing in upcoming state and national titles and we need your help.

Unfortunately, our insurance will not cover the full extent of the damage. This gofundme page has been set up to help us rebuild our club, repair and salvage what canoes we can, and help purchase new race canoes to get us back on the water safely.
