Maigan's Miracle

I am reaching out on behalf of my step-daughter, Maigan. We are looking and praying for medical and financial miracles for our sweet daughter and her family.

For the last few years Maigan has been struggling with Lupus, Diabetes, and chronic kidney stones that have developed into Renal Cell Carcinoma....kidney cancer. She is now on dialysis 3-4 times a week.

On top of all of that she has developed stomach cancer as well as tumors in her breasts that are being biopsied now.

She is under so much medical stress that she is having regular seizures now and also being treated for epilepsy.

Through this all, she stays optimistic and does what she can. Maigan is only 40 and a single mother of 3 boys, 2 of which still live at home in their teens, and with all of these issues and doctors appointments and treatments, it is very difficult to work regularly.

She is currently living in an extended stay hotel where at least everything is on one floor and there is only one bill to worry about where it comes to the roof over their head. It's crazy that hotel is less expensive right now than traditional renting and utilities with the economy and prices here in Utah.

She currently has no income aside from the occasional child support which is only about $200 a week and food stamps at about $350 for her and her two teenage boys still at home to live on each month.

As her family we are trying to financially assist as much as we can but we cannot do much more, especially where it comes to housing.

Maigan has applied for disability and unemployment, neither of which have come through just yet. She has gone through the rejection mill for disability several times...which we hear is standard, and we are looking for a new disability attorney to help speed things up. She does have Medicaid which has been a massive blessing covering her medical expenses and we are reaching out to our church and faith community as well for whatever assistance they can provide.

We are asking you, our angels out there, that if you feel so inclinded, for whatever financial support you may be able to provide no matter how small to keep the roof over their head and food on the table while she battles the monster that is cancer and waits for financial assistance to come through.
