Maisy's Diabetes Treatment

Donation protected
Maisy is my five-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever. She was recently diagnosed with canine diabetes. Diabetes in dogs is the equivalent of type 1 diabetes in humans. Once this disease shows up, it’s a lifetime of insulin shots, glucose testing and vet visits. Currently she is going to the vet once every 12-14 days for glucose curve testing. This is extremely pricey. Add in the cost of insulin, needles, glucose testing supplies, and her prescription diet, you’re looking at a small fortune. This dog means the world to me. I hate even calling her a "dog" because really she's my baby, my daughter, my furry little soul-mate. We've been through so much together; illness, surgery, panic attacks and anxiety, a very long bout of demodectic mange when I brought her home, the list goes on and on. She's been there for me through it all, offering me her furry little shoulder to cry on and her Frito-scented paws to hold. I never ask for help because I always like to think I can handle things on my own but I can't stand to see this little ball of yellow fur suffer. We would both be more than grateful for any help you can give. Even just sharing this would be immensely helpful.

With love and sloppy wet doggy kisses,
-Kelsey and Maisy
