Major Jatani Ali High School

Major Jatani Ali High School ( previously known as Yabello Senior Secondary School ) was the first High School built in the Southern tip of the Country by the farsighted and visionary leader of the then  Province Late Jatani Ali. This esteemed High School has been serving as a beacon of hope for the historically neglected pastoralist communities of Borana zone. Major Jatani Ali High School has produced thousands of Medical Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers , University Professors and lecturers , Scientists, and highly celebrated politicians. To this date, this School is relentlessly training brilliant minds who’re carrying over the torch of the founding fathers.
 
Unfortunately, this school is currently ingulfed by the wild bushes and shrubs due to lack of proper fencing. The beauty of the School is totally overshadowed by the overgrown acacia trees and the absence of proper fencing has exposed the School to other threats such as access to domestic and wild animals alike. This historical landmark deserves better care and protection, and our generation has a double duty of preserving and protecting this historic site.
