Major Mike Witt

On Saturday August 29th, 2020 Major Mike Witt (Illinois State Police) was involved in a tragic accident while off duty. He has been hospitalized since with serious injuries. Mike is married with a son who is a freshman in high school, and twin 10 year old girls who all need our support. Please help with what you can so we can try to help his family with the severe financial strain so they can work on the emotional healing process.

Mike is a proud member of St Jude Hockey Club, member of St Linus Parish, softball coach for the Oak Lawn Park District, graduate of Harold L Richards High School where he also played football. 

Mike is a graduate of Illinois State Police cadet class 94 and has served with distinction in patrol, investigations, and was recently appointed Major. He’s been a great co-worker, leader, and mentor to many.

The amount of generosity so far is a testament to Mike himself. Let’s raise our goal and ensure Mike can just concentrate on getting well, and his family won’t be left with a financial burden. Please continue to share as all monies raised will go directly to Mike and his family.
