Help Makai Get Top Surgery

Hi Everyone

If you don’t know me, my name is Makai. I am an 18 year old trans man and I’m hoping to raise money for my top surgery funds.

I have been struggling with intense gender dysphoria for years now but the anxiety and depression that I suffer from every day of not having a flat chest has been the hardest part. I have also had a lot of difficulty with binding and using trans tape which just heightens my discomfort.

Top surgery is something that would take a huge weight off my chest, literally ;), but it’s an incredibly expensive surgery. Unfortunately, I will not be able to use insurance. Since, I will have to pay out of pocket, the starting price for this surgery will be 8,000 dollars and on top of that I will also have to pay pre and post op consultation fees, recovery, and possibly travel costs.

I have been working to save as much as I can but since I am in college, I will only be able to work a small amount of hours a week and will not be able to save a lot.

In the next couple of years I am hoping to finally live and be seen as the person I truly am. After hiding for so long but finally having the confidence to come out a few years ago, taking this next step in my journey will help me to begin to feel happy and safe in my body.
