About Manna
Manna is a project born out of my passion for animation and my love for God's Word. Over the years, I've worked to develop this initiative with the goal of creating high-quality animated devotionals that resonate particularly with young adults, who often lack engaging biblical content.
Our Vision
The Bible is a treasure trove of God's truth, and Manna seeks to bring it to life through stunning animation. By presenting the scriptures in a visually captivating format, we aim to ignite a deeper passion for God's Word in our viewers, encouraging them to explore further on their own and draw closer to Jesus.
Why Young Adults?
There is a noticeable gap in biblical content tailored for young adults. Manna seeks to fill this gap with videos that are not only visually appealing but also rich in teaching, delivered in a concise and impactful way. We describe Manna as "spiritual hors d'oeuvres" – bite-sized, beautiful, and full of flavour, designed to whet the appetite for more substantial spiritual nourishment.
Free Online Distribution
To reach a wide audience, we will distribute Manna's content for free online through various platforms such as YouTube and social media. This approach ensures that our videos are accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of location or financial situation.
Our Progress and Next Steps
Our pilot episode, "Honey," has received fantastic feedback, and discussions with leading Christian organisations have highlighted the importance of producing multiple episodes. We aim to create three episodes initially to establish a consistent standard of quality and provide a more robust offering for viewers and potential partners.
The Goal
To achieve this, we need to raise £30,000 to fund the production of two additional episodes. This budget will cover the costs of storyboarding, illustration, animation, compositing, and editing, all with the help of a talented team of artists. Each episode will take approximately 6-8 weeks to complete once production begins.
