Make and Impact: FGCU D.R.O.P. 2024 Service Trip

Hello everyone!

We are the Dominican Republic Outreach Program (D.R.O.P.), a service based organization at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU).

Our mission is to promote a sense of civic responsibility both locally and abroad. As an organization, we pride ourselves in service both locally and abroad. Within the region of SWFL, we serve various communities and organizations, promoting our civic responsibility of supporting our surrounding communities. For the past 22 years, D.R.O.P. has traveled to the Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic to serve and engage with developing communities and children in vulnerable situations. Abroad, we serve with an organization; Acción Callejera.

Acción Callejera is a non-profit organization focused on supporting children in different situations and building their futures. Promoting education, children’s rights, and the dissolution of child labor, Acción Callejera aims to be a safe haven for children needing a welcoming place.
