Hi! My name is Adele. But this fundraiser isn't about me. It's about my hardworking husband Alfonso, his amazing culinary skills, and his dream.

He's been cooking longer than I've known him (23 years) and loves serving others. His food has always brought delight to those who taste it. The man is a natural chef with the secret ingredient of love. He went to school for cooking and has over 30 years of experience in the restaurant industry.

I've heard him dream of what he would do with his own restaurant for years. We've shared lots of business dreams together as I have a Small Business Management degree, but this is one we have always come back to. It brings both of our skills together. And now we are making this dream a reality!

Alfonso was recently given the opportunity to open his own casually fine-dining restaurant. And the details of this opportunity feel divinely led. It's not just a new restaurant in any location. He is reopening a restaurant in the very location of his first kitchen job ever, in his hometown community. It's a full-circle journey for him, and we are both very excited to announce this new venture! Luna's Evening Star, It's happening!

The transition from an employee with a weekly paycheck to an employer of self and others is nerve-wracking on its own. It creates a period of no income with continued expenditures in the transition. Living expenses never cease, and both of us will be focused on this new startup.

The restaurant is currently getting remodeled and updated as well. Some crucial new equipment and repairs are being done. It needs a new walk-in cooler, convection oven, and P.O.S. system, and the floor joists are being replaced.

There is a downpayment, licensing, decorating, overhead supplies, and employee training costs that take place before our doors open as well.

I know this has Alfonso a little stressed as he works towards the goal of opening. His family's stability is always a top concern. He's torn between providing that stability and investing in what is necessary for the right start.

I am hoping, with your help, we can lighten that load of concern for him.

Anyone who knows Alfonso knows he deserves to be in his own industrial kitchen.

They also know he'll be cooking them something good in there.

The question on everyone's mind is "What's for dinner Fonz?"
