We're Making Face Shields for First Responders
Donation protected
Hi everyone, In this unprecedented time, we are lucky enough to remain running as a business doing high end woodworking in Los Angeles. To do our part we are pivoting to make face shields for health care workers. Eileen and I own two woodworking companies making everything from furniture to cutting boards.

With so many friends connected to the heroes on the front lines, we realized we had to find a way to help. A friend of ours, Thomas Hayes, found the instructions to make face shields and started making them and found himself buried in requests. So we're jumping in and doing our best to safely make as many as we can and get them into the hands of those that need them most quickly.
We sent out inquiries to hospitals and friends and almost instantly we were buried in requests for help. Within days we've gotten requests for thousands in total from multiple states.
We are sourcing materials as fast as we can and turning several of our employees over to making masks full time.
To get the better quality plastic shield part in thicker clear cleanable plastic, it costs a little over a dollar a shield. We've bought a couple thousand and are awaiting more.
To make the mask as a whole, it costs about $2.00 to $2.50...any help we get will only cover our costs to make and ship them. Any additional funds we raise will go directly to first responder relief efforts.
We were initially just trying to help...but in reading the emails requesting shields from doctors and nurses, the emotion was palpable...it made us emotional...and motivated....we have to do this...now.
Please help if you can...$5.00...$20.00...we are grateful for anything and going to do what we can for as long as it's needed.
We'll see everyone on the flip side of this all....
