Make. Grow. Give
Donation protected
I am Donovan Smith, I am 17 years old and I have been making soap for the homeless for over 5 years. I created single use soaps called Shelter Soaps for shelters who provide shower facilities for the homeless. I have handmade and donated over 20,000 soaps so far. You can google “Donovan Smith Soap” to see articles written about my community work.
I took a break last year to catch up on my school work, travel and just relax after working so hard for my community. I am happy to back to doing what I love and that’s helping the homeless.
This year my community service project is called Make.Grow.Give because I am making 100 Shelter Soaps a week for the homeless, I am starting a garden this spring and 100% of the vegetables I grow will be donated to local food banks/shelters and I am giving back because my travels taught me that homelessness and food insecurity is a problem all over the world. My motto has always been to “Do What You Can” because I still believe we can all do something to help another and make a difference. I hope my community work can inspire others to make, grow and give something to help others. I share my Shelter Soap making pictures/ videos on Mondays as my #MakeADifferenceMonday post. You can follow me “DonovanTyeeSmith” on my new Instagram page. Unfortunately someone hacked and deleted all of my original email & social media pages. So I have to start over again. Thank you for supporting me
