Make Hector's Dream Trip to DC and NY Possible.

My name is Gricel Martinez, a teacher at Basalt High School in Basalt, Colorado, and the lead of The Voces Latinas Club. Our club has been working hard this year to take a group of members to Washington, DC, and New York City. The idea behind this trip is to let students learn about the United States, their new home. Most of them have not had the opportunity to be exposed to events that help build the great country they live in. Therefore, during this trip, these students will visit museums, art galleries, monuments, Broadway, the Statue of Liberty, and other important buildings. Even though the Club members participated in several fundraising activities, one of our students, Hector Corrales, an amazing Junior at BHS, is encountering hardship and needs your help to be able to participate in this incredible experience. I am turning to our amazing community to help him make this dream come true. It will only be through your generous help that Hector will be able to join the trip and, most importantly, look at the world from a different perspective and value, even more, cultural diversity.
