Make Homeplace Learning Center a reality

Hello everyone!!

My name is Dr. Rolandria Justice-Emenuga, and I am the founder of Homeplace Learning Center. I have started this fundraiser to help purchase a facility in Georgia, United States and acquire the necessary items to furnish the daycare center.

As the mother of three, including twins, I recognize the need for children to access inexpensive, high-quality childcare. I began my career as a middle school teacher and ultimately became an elementary school administrator. I want to open a daycare center to use my 20 years of experience in education to create a safe and inclusive environment for young children to grow, develop, and learn.

When my son was approximately two years old, his daycare workers alerted me to his speech problems. Despite my history as a teacher and leader, I was clueless because he was my first child. Their intervention prompted me to seek support for him, and I was able to enroll him in speech therapy to get him the necessary educational assistance to succeed. As a result, he has been successful in school and recently made the A/B honor roll in third grade. I want to establish similar opportunities for other children and families with this daycare center.

We are living in times when schools in our country are not safe. As parents struggle to juggle work and home life without a dependable childcare center, I, too, have experienced this difficulty. I recognize how important our children are to us as parents and how much we want them to be secure while we're not around. My facility will provide a safe, high-quality, cost-effective environment for children to play and learn while their parents work. In addition, I would ensure that the children in my care feel loved and cared for and that they are learning in classes with excellent teachers. Children will access many hands-on activities, including gardening, coding, etc.

I believe every child deserves an excellent early childhood education that is secure, stable, and loving. My recent completion of a doctoral degree in educational leadership has equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to design and guide high-quality leadership programs for children. Homeplace Learning Center will provide a solid early start in the same positive and supportive atmosphere I want for my children.

I am actively looking for a fantastic facility in and around Douglas County, Georgia. It's pretty expensive to rent and own, and I am doing this endeavor independently; I have started this fundraiser to help cover the initial expenses.
