Make It Rain Plan B

UPDATE: Since this fundraiser went live, STRJ has distributed an additional 1200+ doses of emergency contraception. Over 50% of our distribution for the entire year has happened since SB8 took effect.

SB8, the most restrictive abortion law in United States history, has now gone into effect in Texas. The sheer cost of abortion makes is out of reach for many, even under the best circumstances. Now, the situation is dire. The people who need the most help will experience the most hardships under this law.

South Texans for Reproductive Justice serves some of the most impoverished counties in the nation, and we're working hard to help people have control over their reproductive choices. So far this year, our organization has given out over 1000 doses of morning after pills to people across the 8 counties that comprise the bottom tip of Texas.

And we give it away for free because a lot of people can't afford the $50 it might cost to personally go and buy it at a pharmacy.

When people receive a package from us, they get:

• 2 doses of emergency contraception
• 2 pregnancy tests
• Condoms
• Lube
• Information about consent
• Information about sexually transmitted infections

We don't ask for specifics. We don't need immigration status or reasons. These are roadblocks that stop people from accessing the help they need. We trust people to make their own decisions.
