Make Jassmyn's Dream “Quinceañera” Come True

Please help make Jassmyn Lee feel like a princess at her own “Quinceañera” style Ball Gown Birthday Party.

This is 13 year old Jassmyn Lee. Jassmyn was born with Polycystic Kidney Disease which is a genetic disorder that causes numerous fluid-filled cysts inside the kidney to grow and enlarge to the point that the kidney tissue becomes damaged and eventually leads to progressive kidney disease and failure which leads to death.

In 2020, Jassmyn's kidneys went into Stage 5 Kidney Failure at the age of 8 years old. But everything was starting to look up when she finally got a kidney transplant in April of 2023 at the age of 11 years old. However just 21 months later, on January 21, 2025, her body started to reject her kidneys and she has been hospitalized since. Jassmyn is currently in the hospital getting plasmapheresis where the doctors inject a needle into her front of her throat and removes her blood. Then the doctors separate the plasma from the blood cells so they can either treat or discarded/replaced. Then finally the blood cells are returned back to her body. All this in hopes that her body will stop rejecting her kidneys implant and save her life. In addition Jassmyn will have to do peritoneal dialysis at home every night for the foreseeable future.

In addition to polycystic kidney disease, Jassmyn was also born with Digeorge Syndrome, which is a genetic disorder that affects the development of several organs and systems in the body including in Jassmyn’s case, her brain and her ability to learn. And Jassmyn has to frequently take steroid shots for her Digeorge syndrome which make her gain weight. And her weight in addition to being “different” already due to her genetic disorders, Jassmyn is constantly bullied at school. So much so that Jassmyn has even said that she wants to get plastic surgery when she grows up.

Jassmyn just celebrated her 13th birthday in the hospital experiencing kidney rejection. Even though, Jassmyn and her family are Hmong, and not Latino, Jassmyn who loves everything girly from playing dress up to watching makeup videos and playing with makeup, has always dreamed of having her “princess” moment at her very own quinceañera- style Ball Gown Birthday Party.

Please help give this beautiful girl her princess moment so that she can see how beautiful and perfect she already is. Please help her family use the funds to get a beautiful custom dress and rent out a venue that will be decorated like a fairytale dream with the most delicious foods that Jassmyn loves… so that she will forever remember that day forever as the moment she realized how loved and beautiful she is.

The funds will be used to buy a custom dress; rent a venue; decorations; hire a dj/music; catering; and anything else needed for Jassmyn’s “Quinceañera” Ball Gown Birthday Party. Any leftover funds will be used by Jassmyn’s family to continue to bring a smile to Jassmyn’s face for everything she wants to do and accomplish.
