Help make my home disability accessible!

Hi All,

As many of you know, I have a progressive physical disability that makes it hard to get around. Our home was built in 1894, which definitely doesn’t make things any easier! We need to renovate our front entryway to include safer steps, a sturdy handrail and a door that can be easily opened but remain stable.

In addition, we need upgrades inside the house like better bars in the bathroom, new banisters for the stairs and…hopefully some architectural work on the stairs themselves.

With my current employment situation, we won’t qualify for any loan products, and it’s become urgent that I increase the safety of my surroundings.

I wouldn’t ask for help if I didn’t need it. I don’t want to fall at home (again)!
